Why Am I Here?
The search for purpose in life has puzzled people for
thousands of years because we usually look in the wrong places. Only God,
the Creator of life, can reveal your purpose here on earth.
“For by Him all things were created
that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created
through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16
To
know God’s purpose for your life means you need to know God. God
desires to have a relationship with you and show you your purpose in life,
but sin has separated man from God. In order to restore man’s
relationship with God, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you and to
pay the penalty for your sin. Because the penalty for sin has been paid,
you can have a relationship directly with God, but it requires an
individual response from you to
receive it. To accept Jesus Christ as your Savior you have to acknowledge
that:
You are a sinner “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God” Romans 3:23
Be willing to repent and turn away
from sin. “For the wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23
Believe that Jesus Christ died for
you on the cross. “But God demonstrates His own love toward
us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
You must receive Him “But as many as received Him, to
them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in
His name” John 1:12
To
receive Christ into your life, simply ask Him through a sincere prayer from
your heart.
